Can’t get CD downloads back

I got a new iPhone and lost all my cd music. I backed it up to my iMac but can’t figure out how to get it back to iTunes. Is it possible or easier just to spend a couple hundred bucks? Help!

Device backups don't include media. If you still have the old phone see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - Apple Community.
