iPad disabled

My son changed his passcode that has been the same basically since he got it and im not sure how to get into it without having to wipe it out....? HELP?!!

Click here and follow the instructions. Restoring the iPad requires plugging it into a computer with iTunes installed, or a Mac running Catalina or newer.

There isn't a way to retrieve data from a disabled unit.
