Is there a way to find a missing MacBook Pro that is part of Apple School Manager?

I have a laptop that has gone missing. So far as I know, "find my" was not turned on. Is there a way to locate the device with my MDM or via Apple School Manager? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Chris,

I'm not an expert with Apple School/Business Manager, but your MDM system may allow you to enable "Managed Lost Mode". It doesn't require Find My to be enabled, but Apple only confirms support for iPhone and iPad. I'm not sure whether Macs support this feature, but it may be worth a shot.
