The macOS reads both the "Macintosh HD" & "Macintosh HD - Data" and presents as 'Macinthosh HD' for simplicity sake.

Your Data populates the Finder Sidebar.

Your Data is in your Home folder


If you want a HD icon on your Desktop for some reason you can Check

Finder> Preferences>General>Desktop>Hard Disk
