As of this morning (no updates down) whenever I make a screen clip (command shift 4) a new email launches in Mail (default ) and the clip attaches to the email but is not in my designated folder.
I checked in keyboad settings under Shortcusts and all looks good.

Press Command Shift 5. Change Options from Mail to the Desktop or a location of your choosing.
