Hello JonnyBravo88,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, you've reset your AirPods but the right one isn't working properly. We'll do our best to assist.

If you only have one AirPod working, then we'd try the steps in: If your left or right AirPod isn't working

Which might bring you to: How to clean your AirPods, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, and EarPods

We mentioned cleaning them, since debris can cause issues using the AirPod if something is blocking the speaker.

If these don't solve it, please reply back with the following:

  • Does this right AirPod ever connect to your device?
  • Which device(s) have you tried connecting them to specifically and what's their current software versions?
  • Does the issue occur when you attempt to pair them with other devices?

Hoping this helps out, take care.

Hey JonnyBravo88,

If your iPhone won't connect, it could be out of date. The firmware for AirPods is updated along with the Apple updates.

We'd suggest to back up and get updated, if one is available: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you've recently updated or go through with this newest update, then we'd put the the AirPods in the Charging Case and connect it to power, then leave them close by your iPhone for about 15-30 minutes. Hopefully this will push the firmware to update.

In case it still doesn't connect, try all steps in: If your left or right AirPod isn't working

If it persists, then test connect them to another device and let us know if it continues there.

Wishing you the best, cheers.

Hi JonnyBravo88,

In that case, we'd recommend to leave the AirPods inside of the charging case and connect it to power for at least an hour: Charge your AirPods and learn about battery life

If you still can't get that right side to connect to either device, then you'd want to bring in the AirPods for an inspection. A technician will be able to isolate this further and tell you if its hardware related.

Use this link to select your region and search nearby for a location: Find Locations

We'd bring in the Charging Case, AirPods, a photo ID, and any proof of purchase, you may have.

Have a good one, take care.
