Late 2012 Mac mini USB ports

It is unclear to me which type of USB ports are on my Late 2012 Mac mini.

Apple specs state USB 3.0.

My Mac mini System Reports indicates "both" USB 2.0 and USB 3.0.

But the USB connectors on my Mac mini "do not" have the Blue interior as noted in several references on USB standards that I have researched.

How do I know if the USB on my Mac mini are USB 2.0 or USB 3.0?

The Late 2012 Mac Mini has USB 3.0 ports.

Apple does not color code USB ports on computers, devices or adapters.

You’ll find that if you plug in a USB 3.0 compatible device it will trigger the system to activate the 3.0 hub. If the device is a USB 2 device it will connect via USB 2 protocols.

Click the Apple logo (at the top left of your screen) > About This Mac > System Report… Find USB in the list on the left and select it. You’ll find info for both USB 2.0 and 3.0 busses. The info that gets displayed will depending on the device(s) you have connected.
