Running Big Sur 11.5.2 and for awhile now, the Finder side bar in a MacBook Pro has the Location section above the Favorite section. All our other Macs have it reversed: Favorites above locations.
How can I reverse the locations of Locations & Favorites?

To rearrange the categories in the Finder sidebar you have to press and hold the Command key first, then select whatever category and drag it to a new location. For some reason this doesn't work with the very top category, so in your case press Command and then select Favorites and drag it above Locations! Hope this helps you!

Well I´m on the latest Big Sur (11.5.2), and find that pressing the Command key first always works...not pressing it doesn't always seem to work on my iMac. And no, I have no Finder "enhancement" apps, AV or any other such garbage installed. Still, no matter, main thing is one can rearrange things, so or so...!
I just double checked. Whatever is at the top of the list will not drag. In your case, Locations. I moved Locations above Favorites as yours seems to be. I could then drag Favorites above Locations.
Click and drag "Locations" below Favorites.
edit: or below iCloud which is where it normally resides.
I tried that and nothing happens. I can't drag it. I click on it and hold and it doesn't move either locations or favorites.

FWIW, I don't have to press Command. Not in Big Sur.
I'm on 11.5.2 as well. If not holding the Command key first ever fails I'll post back.
