USB-C to USB Adapter - Apple

If an USB adapter does not work for you then

Try a wireless keyboard—this connects by bluetooth

Magic Keyboard - Apple

Use an Apple wireless keyboard, mouse, or trackpad with Mac

Magic Keyboard is inherently wireless.

in that last article, there is a hint about the required charging cable connecting to your Mac:

Note: If the device has a built-in battery, it automatically connects with your Mac when it’s turned on and its Lightning to USB Cable is plugged into your Mac.

If you did not get a power adapter or cable, or yours is not USB-C at the computer-end, Apple sells a USB-C cable to Lightning in one meter and two meter lengths.

(Apple convention is to name its cables and adapters starting with the computer-end).
