Is this an Apple Keyboard that uses 2 Double A batteries ?? If Yes, that KB is Bluetooth and is it worked before - just change the batteries. With KB in front of you like you were going to type with it . On the far Left END of the KB >> look of Silver coloured round looking piece that has a Slit in it >> like a head of a screw. Use a dime to unscrew it and take to dead batteries out. Notice the + head of battery and how that come out. Reload the New Battery in the same direction as how they came out.

Done and on Right of the keyboard - Opposite end of battery compartment is a button - press it lightly and a Green light on the KB should appear.
