MacBook Pro fan is very loud

The fan has all of a sudden started running really loud and now it won't charge :( tried the smc reset and no luck. What else can I do? I've also checked cpu usage and there's nothing there to say it's using a lot?

Usually it indicates you have a hardware issue with one of the temperature sensors. Run the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected.

It would really help to know the exact model of your Mac when asking for help since each model has their own unique issues. You can get this information by clicking on the Apple menu and selecting "About This Mac".
