How do I fix the sound quality on my 2015 Mac Pro (Bigger 11.5.2) . About a month ago the sound starting distorting with static from my internal speakers. . It is hard to understand and terrible to listen to. I have all my software updated and Apple Chat support had me reset the SMC. Nothing has fixed it so far. Anyone have an idea of a fix?

The current stable release is macOS 11.6
Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support
I would suggest resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379
(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NRAM Reset)
if no resolve—
In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment
Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"—

sounds from the internal speakers on my 2015 Macpro has static and distorts.
