I get an retailer's icon just above the menu bar in Safari. It has only been there a short time. I go to open in new tabs and that retailer page appears just before the desired tabs. Why and how do I get rid of it?

It's a pinned tab. You can two-finger/right-click on it and select "unpin tab."

I have one Safari extension installed. It is Honey, the shopping price aid. I do not have an Amazon extension installed. I've not detected any problems with Honey and occasionally it finds a better price for me but more often it shows me price history. It will tell me that I've found the best price on The Internet. It has not interfered with anything.
When I click on it the retailer's web page showing me my previous orders comes up. But so far as I can see in my bookmarks, that web page is not bookmarked. I don't see it in my Safari bookmarks texts across the top of the window just above tabs.
What happens when you click on it? Is it perhaps a Safari extension that you installed?
Brilliant! That worked immediately and easily. I must have done this inadvertently recently. Well, I am glad that it is gone. Thank you.
