Mine seems to work something like this. Turn on iPhone and choose image there; AirDrop to Mac.

Turn on Mac's AirDrop from Go menu; to start iPhone (camera source) for image to arrive in Mac;

click on highlighted button to start image sharing between iPhone and Mac. Chosen ones appears

in downloads folder; then close the AirDrop window.

Sometimes this doesn't work. No wonder, so I try again. ~ I'd never read how-to-articles beforehand.

content from iPhone

Same kinds of 'iconic tools' are in Mac, to start from the other end; from Mac to different device. Too

old a Mac and this may not work easily. Later macOS seems to do better job in finding devices.
