Saving files in Keynote

I want to add some files to an earlier Keynote presentation, but when I tried to save the additional files the program said that "the file name was already in use. and do I want to replace it". I am afraid to replace only the additional files and loose the earlier presentation. What should I do?

Use: File > Save As to save a new version of the presentation and retain the original.

Try these options:

use a different name to the original when using Save AS

save to a different folder

duplicate the original then when saving choose the duplicate file to be replaced

If those do not work, reset Keynote by moving the Keynote application to the Bin , then empty the Bin then download Keynote again using the Mac App Store application
