WHAT IS THE BEST BROWSER TO USE ON MY MAC?

Safari here as well. I've used it since v1.0 and it has always worked well for me. My backup is FireFox.

Chrome is a known resource hog. If you have an entry-level iMac with the base 8GB RAM, you may not have the chops to run Chrome.

Safari is the best browser for your Mac.

+1 for Safari.

While other browsers run OK, Chrome can feel like you forgot to hoist the anchor.

I use Safari for 99% of my browsing needs, but I have firefox installed for the occasional website that has issues.

Although using Firefox, I believe Safari is longer reliable but when I need to connect to though sites (such as banking) I prefer Opera.
