MacBook Air Black Screen

Hey guys, so just recently I have been having a issue with my Mac. I get a black screen for long periods of time even though I think the mac is on. For example this week I tried getting my mac on for 3 days and it refused to power up, but randomly i tap the power button and the login screen appears and all my tabs and applications are open like nothing was wrong, was not even turned off. It has nothing to do with being dead because it come up on 100%. The charger still lights up when plugged in, I’ve tried the PRAM reset and every other basic restart. If anyone has had the same issue or has help PLEASE chime in. The laptop is my career and right now I can not really go buy a new one with the files I have on here.

There are a few articles about 'Macs that looked off' while were secretly on..

..This covers some of that; offers an idea or two with detail to try & resolve.

• If your Mac doesn't start up all the way - Apple Support (shows screens)

With this one, that may (not) have clues to troubleshoot &/or resolve symptoms. Try this:

"Learn what to do if your Mac starts up to a blank screen, such as an empty gray, black, or blue screen."

You may need to start into macOS Recovery; should it be necessary to reinstall. Tells symptom:
