Notes Password

I made a note a few years back that I store important info for myself on. It’s locked, but a few weeks ago I tried to open it using Face ID; for some reason it didn’t work and asked me to enter my Notes password. Since it’s been a few years I have absolutely no idea what the password is, and if I reset the password I won’t be able to access the information in that note. Does anyone know a way I could get into it without knowing the password?

if you don't know the password, you won't be able to access the locked note.

If you try incorrectly, it might show you a password hint (if you set one up at the time you created the password)

When you reset your password, make sure to save the password somewhere! You can manually add passwords in Settings > Passwords, turn on iCloud Keychain as well.. or use a password app to store it.

Unfortunately, if you didn't write this important password down, nor create a Password Hint when you were offered the chance to do so, this note will remain locked forever, until or unless you can somehow remember the password. The password is encrypted on the phone directly. There is no bypass. Apple can't help you, nor can we.

I know this is not what you want to hear, but it's fact. Important passwords need to be stored somewhere for future recall. Something as simple and old school as this can be very effective:

Notes Password
