There are a few good ones; folks have preferences.

Firefox is good, Brave is different, yet OK or better.

Others may or not be resource hogs. For those with

older macOS and an older Safari version, that sees no

updates (other than compete macOS upgrade) ones

such as Firefox or Brave allow secure internet access.

I like Edge, I used to like Firefox but FF sync does things I don't think it should do. I do not like Chrome browser because of the way it handles memory and because it's a Goole product.

Regardless of which you choose, setup is critical to have it do what you want and not do what you don't want.

I use Edge & Brave, Brave is Chrome without google & without Ads & uses way less memory...
