i forgot to sign out of my apple id before erasing phone. what do i do?

i am giving my old phone to a friend. i forgot to sign out of appleid before i hit erase phone. what do i do? i dont want to erase my icloud on my new phone?

How did you erase your iPhone to give it to your friend? Did you open Settings ➔ General ➔ Reset. ➔ Erase All Contents & Settings.. If you used this method, then you were automatically signed out of iCloud and Apple ID. If you used this method and the iPhone was returned to the HELLO screen then you have successfully erased your iPhone and returned it to factory settings.
