Touch Bar Flashing/flickering MacBook Pro (2017)

When my display is off the touch bar seems to flicker. The touch bar works fine but it not having any major issue as of now. But trying to get this fix before it becomes a bigger problem in the future.


I only had this for at least 3 years now. I haven't dropped it or set it down hard or anything and it flickering. Was not doing this before when i update it to Monterey the beta version. So it wasn’t having this issue during big sur. So i think it may be a software issue maybe more or less.

You can try both—


Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295


Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NRAM Reset)




If no resolve it typically indicates a hardware issue—which we can not solve here:
