Problems Pairing iPhone 13 pro with iPad

Hi there,

just received my iPhone 13 pro and initial setup was ok however, I can’t get the phone paired with my iPad via Bluetooth. Have done all the obvious tricks but the phone says “ pairing unsuccessful iPad is not supported whereas iPad says pairing unsuccessful make sure iPhone is turned on, in range and ready to pair. Any help would be much appreciated

If you enable iCloud photo synchronization, then photos will automatically appear on both devices. See https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204264

If you enable AirDrop, then photos (or almost anything else) can be shared between devices as long as they are physically near each other. AirDrop uses bluetooth to discover nearby devices and WiFi for the actual data transfer. Bluetooth pairing is not required, and the devices do not need to be connected to a WiFi network. Bluetooth and WiFi just needs to be enabled, and AirDrop figures out the rest. See https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204144

I am so frustrated that my iPhone 13 and iPad can’t completely sync. Most things have but on my iPhone I can not sign into gmail nor Google accounts, and on iPad can no longer use text message and FaceTime. Carrier says it because of the embedded SIM cards in new phones. But seems Apple should be able to offer fix for complete sync. Many of us use our iPads vs phones when at home since we could message or answer our calls while continuing to work on iPad. Have to jump between phone and pad is horrible.

anyone who figures out fix please let rest of us know.

Music cannot be sent over bluetooth, or any other way, between iOS devices. If the music on your iPad was purchased through the iTunes Store, you can redownload it directly from your iPhone. It it was not purchased that way, then you will need to sync it to your iPhone using iTunes on a computer, the same way you originally put it on the iPad.

I thought it was possible to check battery status of iPhone on the today screen of an iPad? Hardly a “must have”, but very convenient to see how charging of the iPhone is going from the iPad’s today screen.

Certainly I’ve seen screen shots of iPhone or iPad showing battery power reserves on other family members iPhones. Again, hardly a “must have”… but handy.
