Operating System update

I need to upgrade my os . iMac (27-inch, Late 2013) /os x yosemite version 10.10.5. What steps do I take to upgrade? Do i need to do each version or can I go straight to Catalina? (after backing up of course!)

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and click on Catalina directly.
