how do I stop my new Macbook Pro from sending everything to my old MacBook?
For example, when I get updates for my new Mac, the updates are also sent to my old Mac.
Documents which I download also show up on my old Mac - where they are not needed.
How do I stop this?

On the old Mac you can sign out of iCloud or disable the iCloud preferences to sync Documents.
Sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac
