Why does Apple TV randomly freeze on PC and Roku?

So, my problem doesn't really match others problems. The Apple TV app on our Roku 4800x and using Apple TV on my PC both randomly freeze and instantly refresh to keep playing. no buffer time or loading anything, it just refreshes for a second. It did it on our old internet and we upgraded to 100/100 on fiber recently and the only thing that has problems still is Apple TV. I've tried reinstalling the gpu drivers, reinstalled internet browsers, reinstalled windows entirely. Absolutely nothing else buffers, ever. Doesn't do it on Apple phones though, so.... there's that. Any chance this is not a built in feature to be disruptive on anything but Apple products in order to get people to buy an Apple product to stream it without interruption (given Apple's past updates that basically destroyed battery life and slowed down phones to force you to buy an upgrade), or is there a fix?

If the issue continues, test resetting the app: Reset the Apple TV app


As you've isolated pretty well, should you continue to have an issue reach out to Apple Support directly for more assistance using the links at the bottom of the first article shared. If needed here it states:

If you still can't play movies or TV shows, you can go to reportaproblem.apple.com and request a refund after you log in with your Apple ID and password."
