charging cord

I just bought an Iphone 11 and it came with a charging cord that does not plug into anything I can think of. Why would they not supply a cord that works?

It’s a USB C cable.

it is the standard USB port on all computers sold in the last 5 years or more.

It is also the standard port for Android chargers and the current Apple chargers.
