• Disable VPN Use:

In the meantime, while trying to update, disconnect from any VPN you are connected to.  VPN connections are common for work and school, so disable the connection while trying to update.

• Uninstall Security Software:

Any Security Software installed? If so, uninstall it. It just gets in the way on Appledevices, and this would be a pure example as to how and why.
