Downloading pages, numbers....

I have mac OS Catilina 10 15 7. When I try to download it tells me 'Pages can’t be installed on “McIntoshHD” because macOS version 11 or later is required." Please assist.

The Mac App Store is being truthful with you. The current versions (v11.2) of Pages/Numbers/Keynote now require macOS Big Sur for installation. There is no other assistance if you do not already have the older v10.2 - v11.1 versions of these applications installed on Catalina.

If you do have prior versions of these applications installed on Catalina, you may be able to get these updated to their last versions (v11.1). Launch the Mac App Store again, be signed in with the same Apple ID as you used to previously install these applications, and then press cmd+0 (zero) to gain access to the Purchases panel. Click the Update button for Pages, and yes, it will again tell you that you need Big Sur, but if your version of Pages on Catalina is out of date for that platform, the store may offer to update it to its current version (v11.1). If that works, repeat with Numbers, and Keynote.

Otherwise, Apple does not provide user downloadable, full installers of past versions of these applications. You can, however, use Pages for iCloud, or Pages for iOS/iPadOS v14.8/15.0.2.
