M1 Macbook Air High GPU Load at idle

Hi,

I own a 2021 MacBook Air 8gb running OS Monterey.

I noticed this evening when closing down that the GPU load is very high with no apps open.

Fluctuating between 60 - 80+% on istats.

Is this normal?

I have never seen it that high before even when working.

A restart didn't help drop the loads either.

As I am typing it does seem to have settled down to the 20% range but it was abnormally high for around 1h.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

We're unable verify the results of the apps you are using, but if there are no other issues, it should be fine. You can always use Activity Monitor if you have worries about a process. This resource can help:
