Input multi song, multi disc audio into Music on macOS Monterey?

Before upgrading to macOS Monterey I could input a multi song, multi disc audiobook into music by selecting all the tracks. I would then click on join tracks and input. After upgrading to Monterey OS the join tracks part is ghosted out. Does anyone have a solution for this?

The Join CD tracks option only appears if the CD is sorted on the left-most column of numbers in ascending order and two or more consecutive tracks are selected.

Note it must actually be that left column, not track number or album by artist, or another column which could give the same order, but not enable the option.

The image is from iTunes, but the behaviour should be the same in Music.

Hello Pismojimbo,

We would like to see how we can help you with joining tracks in Apple Music. Simply using safe mode may resolve this issue. What we need to do is see if the problem persists during safe mode. Here are the steps we’ll need to take to do so: How to use safe mode on your Mac

After the device boots into safe mode, try to reproduce the problem. If safe mode does not work, or the restart after a successful boot into safe mode does not work, please contact us back with the results so we can troubleshoot further.

Cheers!
