Impossibile attivare “Intenso_5_tera_mac”. (com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter errore 49244).

After installing monterey I get this message and the disk does not activate. 
Its characteristics are these

How it the drive formatted ? How if the drive connected to the computer ?

It needs to be in a format macOS can understand like exFat, Fat 32, HFS Journaled or APFS each using the GUID Partition Map.

What is presented will format the Drive. All Data will be lost and can not be recovered .

Disk Utilities >> View >> View ALL attached Drives.

Choose the Upper Most Drive ( not the volumes indented and list below ).

The drive Name is called TOSHIBA External - that is the drive to Erase and format as HFS Journaled with the GUID Partition .

If using for Time Machine Backup APFS / GUID.

The drive is MacOS esteso - journaled. With BigSur

Used with BigSur it worked perfectly.

It is not a valid solution. I would lose all data. The drive worked before Monterey.

Indeed, the suggestions are totally meaningless. The Toshiba disk is the one with Timemachine !!!
