How do I transfer my information from my old MacBook to my new iPad?

I have a new iPad Pro. I want all of my documents, etc from my MacBook on the new iPad. Do I just set it up through my apple ID?

The easiest way is to enable iCloud Drive on both devices and move your files there (on your Mac). Once transferred, you can turn it off on the Mac (presumably you're getting rid of it). Your files will then be in the cloud and you can download them to the iPad through the files app.

You can also airdrop, email, sync, etc. your files
