Is there a version ofPages for Catalina

Have you ever downloaded Pages before using your Apple ID.

If so open the App Store make sure you sign in using the Apple ID

you used to download Pages previously.

Click on Store in the menubar and click on View My Account.

This will show you all the apps you have downloaded in the App Store.

If you see Pages you should see a blue cloud download icon,

if you click on that you will see another dialogue which tells you

"The current version requires macOS 11.0 or later, but you

can download the last compatible version."

Click Download and the Catalina version of Pages will be downloaded

and installed.

See screenshot below, replace GarageBand with Pages.

The OP bought a used computer already running Catalina. That means it will be someone else's Apple ID associated with any application installation history from the Mac App Store. The store will likely not allow the OP to get a fresh copy of Pages v11.1 using the previous owner's Apple ID, or from the OPs Apple ID if the Mac is showing ownership by another owner's AppleID.

I am well aware that the OP bought a used mac with Catalina on it.

If the second hand mac had been prepared correctly for resale any previous trace of the previous owner and their Apple ID would have been removed from the mac. How else would the second hand market for macs survive if the mac was

eternally associated with the first owner.

When setting up the mac after purchase the OP should have the opportunity to sign in to iCloud using their Apple ID, this should allow them to open the App Store and sign in with their Apple ID and as written earlier get access to their previous

App Store purchases.

Two factors: 1) If prepared… and 2) whether the App Store will do the OP a favor and install Pages v11.1 for Catalina. Hopefully, they will report back that it worked, but I remain suspicious that it will…

As last resort - login www.icloud.com and use the Web Based version of Pages .
