MacOS Monterey - Install macOS Monterey: Checking "(null)"

Long story short, I wiped out my MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2018, 4 Thunderbolt 3 Ports, 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB of Memory) using the disk utility to erase my intel-base Mac instructions via apple website.

The system installed macOS 10.12. It then had me update to macOS 10.13, then macOS 10.14. When I go to setting, it offers me to update to macOS Monterey 12.0.1. I go ahead and download the update and then prompts me to continue. Now it seems to be stuck at Checking "(null)". I have deleted the download, rebooted my machine, then redownloaded the via the Software Update and still getting the same result, it's stuck at Checking "(null)". I did some research and have not found any luck on how to get around this. Any other insights or directions is welcomed.

Thank you!

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.12
