Apple TV connected to a MacBook (without a TV) ?

has anyone managed to connect its Apple TV, directly to a Screen / MacBook ?

Without a TV set at all.

I'm familiar w/ AirPlay etc...

But could not find any info for a no-TV-connection,

Thanks for the help :)

don't believe you can but you can connect it to a computer monitor with hdmi

most people get an appletv to stream things on the their which they are already able to stream on their computer by using the computers web browser, so connecting the box to a computer does not make much sense

The Apple TV box is designed to be connected to a display, it will not work with a computer.

Note: The Apple TV app is already available for Mac, and 3rd party streamers would be accessed via their respective sites so there wouldn't be any advantage to connecting any external streaming device. However, if you want to use a computer monitor instead then that would work as long as it has HDMI and HDCP compliance.
