My text message are showing green ( sms) bs blue (iMessage)

Since downloading the new ios15 my text messages are being sent as sms (green). I have turned the iMessage on/off, rebooted my iPhone 12 and neither worked.

I had the exact same issue on my iPhone 12 after switching carriers. No idea what caused it and when.

I fixed it by going to:

Settings - Cellar - Wi-Fi Calling

and turned off “Wi-Fi Calling on This Phone” option. Waited for a couple minutes and turned it back on.
