every so often my mac gets a pop up saying assistantd wants to log in to the keychain and when i put my password it’s doesn’t go away

Accountsd is the Accounts database, part of the Accounts Framework, which starts login credentials for apps and services you use on your Mac.
Verify your Login padlock remains unlocked in Keychain Access.app

I would also verify you have checked iCloud keychain
