Monterey cannot be installed

I'm trying to update to Monterey from High Sierra 10.13.6 on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013) but am getting this notice each time I try. I have 49 GB of storage space, so I'm pretty sure that's not the issue. I've tried accessing Big Sur or Catalina in the App Store, but the page on Safari which I'd hoped would take me to the Big Sur or Catalina installation page in the App Store instead takes me to the App Store homepage. Any idea what might be up? Thanks so much!!

Ahh, okay, thank you. Is there any way still to download Big Sur? The link https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211683 here just sent me to the App Store homepage.

EDIT: Nevermind! Looks like that would run into the same compatibility issues even if I could. A bummer but thank you very much for letting me know.

sorry but that MBP is not compatible with monterey.

as far as that MBP can go is big sur.

there is currently an issue accessing the older macOSes at the page you referenced above. apparently it's been reported to apple. i will report back here when and if it gets corrected. :)
