MacPro will not recognize any printers

This is a PS to my earlier question about connecting with my Canon MX882 over WiFi. After submitting, I wondered if the problem was deeper. Turns out it is. The computer cannot see the Canon PROGRAF 300 photo printer either. Two days ago, we had three or four power interruptions in a row, and I had to reset my AirPort Extreme router and reboot the Spectrum modem. We can access the Internet, email, stream content through Roku player no problem. But my two printers may as well be on Mars.
