Does the MacBook Pro M1 Max support USB-C USB 3.2 Gen 2x2?

Hi,

I hate to say it , but the ‘ USB-C USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 ‘ (20Gbps) is optional support for ISO / OEMs…

I have 2 of those ‘USB-C USB 3.2 Gen 2x2’ drives and I can tell you that the M1does NOT support the ‘USB-C USB 3.2 Gen 2x2’ standard (it uses 2 channels to transfer data). If you plug a ‘USB-C USB 3.2 Gen 2x2’ SSD external drive to the M1 , it sees it as a 10Gbps and not a 20Gbps device.

I’ve tried everything different cables, different brands, different lengths… nothing works to get the missing 10Gbps… Thunderbolt 4 cable, tried that… nope… still sees it as 10Gbps…
