I haven’t received any new emails for months now and really need to access one, is there any way to reset my email?

is there a way to completely reset any mail setting?

You cannot "reset" it, but you can delete the email account and then add it back in:

Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

But first just try restarting your iPhone:

Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

or resetting the password for your email account.
