Battery health

Why does my iPhone’s battery health decrease after installing each iOS update?? When I don’t update it won’t change at all but exactly when I update it,the battery health drops!!?

iPhone 12, iOS 14

Newer ios variants have improved calibration algorithms.

If the capacity (aka health) is above 79% then don't worry.

Actual health - no.

Indicated health - may increase or decrease.

15.1.1 for iphone 12 and 13

15.1 for all others down to 6S
