Find out how you are managing your Contacts. Are you using Gmail? It would sound like it if contacts are being changed on an Android device. Go to Settings>Contacts>Default Account. What does it say? If you go to Settings>Contacts>Accounts, in that list, what accounts have the word Contacts with it?
