Browser can't access Google Maps Street View

On Chorme and on Safari (and every other browser) can't access Gooble Maps Street View. Shows the blue lines and even looks like zooming in, then the screen is black - Hit the back button and everything is still there, it just won't show Street View.

Late 2012 Imac running Catalina with latest update. (Think it's correct that the problem started right after the update)

Maybe Google maps is having an issue right now...zoom in , zoom out, try a different location—if no resolve you can always try back later...

Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

I have the same problem. Mid 2012 MacBook Air, OS Catalina, all up to date. Safari and Firefox both show the same thing: an error message that says 'A problem repeatedly occurred with https//www.google.co.uk/maps/@...etc'. To start with I thought I must have got a virus but I'm encouraged that others have the same problem. Would it help to reinstall the OS do you think?
