Hello, okorie.

This is from the Related Article linked above your post:

"Mail

From the Mail app, open the email that has the contact that you want to block, then tap the (sender/from) contact at the top. Tap Block this Contact."

There is a very small down-arrow next to the contact name, you may have to target that when you tap.
