Keyboard doesn’t work AFTER login.

So every key on my 2017 MacBook Air works just fine at the login and password screen. Every key works and you can see this in the password field. However, after I put my password in and hit enter, it boots up and everything works except the keyboard. Not one key works. I can cut it off and the keys all work up until I login. How do I fix this.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.0

Try this:

How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

Restart holding Shift to enter Safe Mode and check if it happens while in SM.

Restart normally and check if it got any better.

While in Safe Mode, create a new admin user, boot to this new user and test it there too.

It seems to be a software issue since it works before login. If SM doesn't bring it back, you should try reinstalling macOS.
