I need to change my phone number for the two factor authentication. The number on there is my old number . I’ve try to go into setting to change it but it’s not working . Help

Hi,
To update your trusted phone number, you would need to go to Settings > Name > Password & Security > Trusted Phone Numbers > Edit.
Add in the correct trusted phone number.
Afterwards, make sure that phone number is associated to your Apple ID for iMessage and FaceTime under Settings > Name > Name, Phone Numbers, and Email > Reachable At.
This should resolve your issue.
