After a month of waiting I got an defective MacBook Pro 14

Hi, everyone.

I bought my new MacBook Pro 14 with M1 Max just under a month ago on Apple's website, it just arrived at my door yesterday by DHL. Today I found problems with the trackpad. Contacted tech support (case ID: 101566280627) and diagnostic showed "possible trackpad error, code NDR006".

The call with the technician dropped out and I didn't get a call back. When I called, another specialist told me to return the item. I did it, but I was told to wait another two months until the end of January! The same delivery time shows when you want to place an order via the site.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. I just want to understand why if I brought a product with a defect, I am not put in the priority queue to wait? I understand that I have a custom confuguration and am out of stock, but why would I wait for my Mac as long as another customer who placed an order today on Apple's site?

The Mac is my primary tool for work. I've created my best designs on it and have won over 25 design awards, just google me - Artem Militonian Designer. And now I'm incredibly horrified by what happened!

This is a user-to-user support forum. We can't do anything to help you with this and Apple doesn't read here for suggestions or feedback. If you have an Apple Store that you can get to, I'd start there.

Hello everyone!

I am writing again, in all seriousness! I had a macbook pro 14" replaced, which I received on December 17.

Immediately, I found exactly the same problems that were the reason for the replacement.

THAT IS, THIS IS THE SECOND MACBOOK THAT DOES NOT WORK AS IT SHOULD.

In fact, I am extremely disappointed.

I bought the macbook back in the middle of November, waited for the replacement, but still can't use it.

The trackpad problems persist even with the latest macOS 12.1 update. I tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the system - but that didn't help either. I tried installing MacOS 12.2 Beta 1 - hoping that this build would fix my problem, but that didn't help.

In the end, searching for information on the Apple forum, I found a similar problem with a user from a year ago.

Globally, my problem is that my "tap to click" function on the trackpad is not working properly.

Case ID of the first MacBook ***.

Once again, please note that REPLACEMENT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

Current status: tomorrow, Monday, December 20, I am supposed to get a call from an adviser to gather the logs.

Instead of a conclusion.

I have been an absolute fan of Apple for many years, I use the whole line: mac, iphone, apple watch, apple tv, ipad, airpods, etc. I have been the customer that always recommends your products. But now, I can't describe how I feel. I can't work on my macbook, I don't enjoy it. Because my new MacBook is not in working order.

After a month of waiting I got an defective MacBook Pro 14
