Just bought a new iPad gen 9 which comes with a usb-c charging cable and adapter plug. I want more than one charging cable and want to know if I can buy an apple charge cable with a standard usb connector to use with this iPad? The electrical sockets throughout our house have usb sockets built I so would like to continue using them, rather than the usb-c cables which aren’t compatible.

My error - as the iPad9 has a Lightning connector - not USB-C.

Be aware that charging from a USB Type-A charger will be slower than when using a USB-C Power Adapter.
On iPads 9th gen, to use an USB-A connection, you just need a "Lightning to USB-A" cable, which is available at Apple Online Shop or at e-commerce websites. If it is not a genuine Apple cable, make sure it is MFI (Made For iPhone/iPad) certified accessory.
