Apple Music playing too fast

At times Apple Music plays songs at a very high speed. It only happens on music I ripped from CDs. I have to quit Music and restart it to fix it, but it happens again next time I use it. I am running a MacBook Air with the latest os upgrade. Help!!!

Hello Popspense,

We understand that music ripped from a CD plays at more than normal speed and a force quit and restart of the Music app resolves it temporarily.

We’ve got a few questions to start isolating. Does this happen when you have a Bluetooth device connected, when using EarPods or possibly both? Are you an Apple Music subscriber? On the keyboard, is the F9 button the fast forward button and if so, any chance it is engaged when this happens so the song is being fast forwarded through?

Thanks.
